Education

Our education function aims to support higher education providers to use better practice complaint handling practices and address systemic issues.

We do this by offering educational webinars and through sharing data-informed insights and resources with both students and higher education providers.

Our approach

Our approach to education aims to build awareness of our role, provide support and better practice guidance to the sector and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Our approach is:

  • audience-centred
  • evidence-based
  • responsive to sector engagement
  • trauma-informed
  • culturally safe and inclusive
  • empowering.

Consultation

We work with stakeholders from across the sector to understand the needs and experiences of students and higher education providers, and to use these insights to build student confidence in raising complaints and increase the capability of providers to handle complaints effectively.

We consult with the sector in several ways including through surveys, various meeting with stakeholders including peak bodies, student unions etc. We are establishing our Education Advisory Group, which will play a key role in advising on sector needs to ensure the successful delivery of our educational resources.
