Darwin Visit - May 2025

We are excited to announce the NSO is coming to Darwin to take in-person complaints and meet with stakeholders across the higher education sector.

Make a complaint in person

We will be taking in-person complaints from 8.00am to 4.00pm, Tuesday 20 May until Thursday 22 May 2025.

Bookings are encouraged and can be made via our online booking form.

We will be located at the Ombudsman NT Office - Level 6, 22 Mitchell St, Darwin (corner of Bennett and Mitchell St).

The office is accessible and open to all visitors - enter via the foyer, head to the lifts and go to level 6 and let the NT Ombudsman team know you are there to speak to the NSO.

Note: Bookings are not required, you can walk in to see us, but we encourage bookings to ensure a staff member is available to discuss your complaint.

What to expect when making an in-person complaint

In taking your complaint, we may ask:

  • You contact details
  • Your student ID
  • Type of study (online, in person)
  • What is the complaint about
  • Who has been involved
  • Where incidents or events related to the complaint happened
  • Any relevant contact with the provider or other agencies that may be dealing with your complaint
  • Any relevant correspondence - you can provide this at a future date
  • Any actions taken to resolve the complaint
  • Consent to contact the provider during the first contact stages – only if you agree

We will keep you updated with information, the progress of your complaint, and next steps.

We will ensure your wellbeing and privacy are protected throughout the complaints process.
